Telling a unit 2 fire on a specific unit?
« on: 08 Jul 2003, 10:28:28 »
Ive seen on Abuu's editing tut that the command for firing on a specific unit is for example 'unit2 DoFire unit3', but i find that to be to slow. I am trying to get one unit to fire at someone in a car but wen i activate the command the car has already passed and the unit hasn't even fired a shot, how can i speed up the command?

try   'unit dotarget unit'  first. Maybe that way the moron will keep the car in his sights and once commanded to shoot he won't have to target it but shoots right away.
Not all is lost.

hmm... I haven't experienced this, even when out of range my gunner will track the target and when the target gets in range, he  pounds away.  Maybe a line of sight issue?  I reied it out on desert island.  Maybe activate the command sooner so he has time to line up.  I don't even use the dotarget, he just start shooting when the target gets in range, but not very accurately, he has never killed the target!  I dunno if this is a bug or what but a machine gunner outta be able to kill a jeep from 15 yards!
