Serious Lagg problems

I got some lag problems with my ofp. It lags very often in the most missions, ive tried lower the grapichs and textures, resolution to the worst, lowest. But still it laggs,

My comp specs is

Pentium IIII
1500 Mhz
256 mb ram
GeForce 2 MX 64

Its not the newest but im happy with it. If you get any tips on how to lower the lag please be my guest and write it down. Any internel and external solutions, whatever that helps

Well, there are many reason for that. The main ones you can find in macguba's excellent little guide to reducing lag, found by searching for author macguba in the Tutorials section of the ed.depot.

In short, the reason OFP lags is because it's a damn laggy engine. My system specs are about the same, and whenever I load the Ia Drang valley and pop down a handful of soldiers, it lags.  

Not much you can do about that when playing a mission. At least it will keep you from overdoing it in your own missions, eh? If you want more thoughts on how to better your performace, I suggest the offical BIS forums at www.flashpoint1985.com
