Excellent work, CAT--simple, clean and nicely textured.

And the 2nd pic for Al Naware.  This is it for today.  I have more pictures of natural geographical objects but I don't think people are really interested on those pictures so I won't be posting it (unless someone requests it, but I'm sure you guyz will not even notice it.)

Thanks Chomps.  I'll be working harder on my buildings.  Nice, honest "CONSTRUCTIVE" criticism gives me motivations so please feel free to "CONSTRUCTIVELY" criticise me.  Oh this message is directed to everyone and not to you chomps.  I just felt like saying it.

please forgive my grammar.  Sorry, the message was not directed personally to you chomps.  It was directed to everyone (including you) because I just felt like saying it.

I understand what you mean and I really do think they are quite good, the textures match up very well.

One suggestion I would have, would be to add some kind of transition texture at the bottom of all the outer wall textures.  I mean you can have a small border on the bottom of the buildings walls to have sand on them. that matches well with your terrain textures.  This way, there will not be a straight line bottom of the wall, but a little blurrier one, which would give the area a more desert-like feeling.

hmm,,, interesting.  Never thought of that.... Let me try it out.  Thanks Chomps.  I'll try that Idea out on my new building I'm making right now.  it is a 2 story house which is enterable from the top floor with the ladder (there is a stairs outside of the building connecting to the second floor) and there are few small wholes in the building where you are able to snipe from.  I'll be finish with the building by tonight so I'll post the picture with that semi transparent texture of my terrain texture.

awesome!!! :D I would be interested in some more pics :) of this great looking desert map. It would be cool to see if you have made any snowy mountains and rivers too on the island. Because i think you could make them really great.

Finally finished with my CATAfghanbuildingo26.p3d.  It is 2 stories high.  enterable only in the second floor by going up the stairs and going down the ladder.  There is a small, small hole in one corner of the building where snipers can take there perfect shot and where you could ambush some guyz at.  Chomps, I have a question.  I thought I knew what you meant but when I was making that transparent texture, I started to doubt my mind that I didn't fully understand what you meant.  So,  I apply a transparent texture on the base of the building, as like in the ground? or I apply the transparent (sorry semi transparent since I'm using the alpha channel) on the wall of the base of the building?  Posting the picture of my new building and my improved, expanded al Nawar.

3rd pic of my new building.  Do you see the ladder on the top left hand corner of the building?

Darn, I'm in a desperate need of digital camera.  Here in Guam, there are many burned buildings, buildings made with concrete but looks like it is made out of mud and sand because it is located in a deserted area of the island.  Well 4th pic of building.  1 more pic for the overview of Al Nawar and that's it for today.  There is a stairs connecting to the 2nd floor..... The AI will move to the top of the building if you assign them in the mission editor.

Over view of Al Nawar.  There are walls surrounding the village.  The village extends 700meters in length, separated into 3 blocks, inter connected with roads and walls.  I was having a quite good time with the quaker gamers HMV (I customized it to fit my Marines) and BAS, Cpt. Moore's little birds and Ch-47M (also my cat desert storm addon for reality.)  Somalia!!! (It suppose to be afghanistan but it felt like it.)
