I used to have these crashes alot too, but after a total format on harddrive and reinnstall of the game, only SEB Nampack 2 as an addon, I get zero crashes...
Not sure what was the cause, but I have no faith in a sound bug, nor something wrong with the addons. I belive this is related to memory.
For Plei Bi Yot and all other Flashpoint related stuff I use these settings.
Flashpoint Preferences:
CPU: Intel Pentium Pro SSE 2398.6 Mhz
RAM: 512 MB (DDR@133Mhz)
CPU Benchmark result: 5050
Display device: Direct3D HW T&L
Videocard: Radeon 9700 pro
Resolution: 1280x1024x32
Advanced:
Performance:
Total memory: 512 MB
Texture Heap: 16 MB
File Heap: 16 MB
Geometry Performance: 4966
Effects:
Max.Lights: 32
Additional Lights:
All three boxes checked
Textures:
Cockpits: 2048x2048
Objects: 2048x2048
Landscape: 2048x2048
Special Effects: 64x64
Auto drop-down: 4x (not sure what this does)
Details:
Max. objects: 256
Objects LOD: 0.0019
Shadows LOD: 0.050
And Ingame I have it set to high, also cranked detail up to max and FPS.
Viewdistance is set to 900.
Only thing disabled is W-Buffer (no use since I go with 32)
Oh, And I also use 2xSmoothVision and 8xAnisotropisk Filtering.
Allow me to say, SEB Nampack looks nothing sort of stunning on this baby...
I am sorry for the crashes on your computers, but belive me, this has nothing to do with the mission Plei Bi Yot...
Best Regards
