I'm not sure, but maybe my "sound fixed SEB Nam Pack 2" could avoid crash ?
If STT agree, I can send it to one of you (if you have many freeze or crash), then you could give us some feedback

Messiah : you have to increase fog if you want long heavy rain

Sorry I didn't get back about this sooner, had to go out of town,

Well, I tried really hard to make it crash.

Ia Drang Island
Picked a hill west of LZ X Ray, put a Force Recon Heavy Team on it.

I kept incrementally increasing the NVA attcking them, and the reinforcements. I now have;

The Force Recon Heavy Team
Reinforcements of 2 more Hvy Tms, choppered in by Hueys, at different times
A  OH 6 loach and two cobras for air support

Attacking Force:

A reinforced NVA Company

9 Rifle Squads
1 Hvy Wpns Squad
A command Group
1 12.7mm on a Hilltop

It gets slow.........

But it doesn't crash ;D

I doubt this helps, just posting it for info. Now that I am watching for crashes, I don't get any...Cool 8)

I attached it, if anybody want's to try it. My quick spec's

1.2 Ghz AMD
Ge Force4
256mb ram
SBLive
Win 98 SE

and it slows me down pretty good. Some of you gys with crash problems try it, ok? If you crash then it not a problem with the pack, it's a hardware (or windows) problem. I think :o

Just tested your mission, lost half my group, finished off the NVA's after 34 minutes, no crash/freeze. (Should have had a trigger to end it all, or a chopper to come get you the hell out of there)  ;D

Actually, I found your mission quite cool, lot's of heavy firefights...

My spec?
See earlier post's regarding crash.

Seeing have this mission worked great here I must asume that the reezent crashes/freezes has something to do with two things. SP1 for Xp and Memory.

Yep It's laggy ;)
Try making yourself the pilot of one of the choppers :wow:
It's like flying in Jello :P

Hey Des.. The premise is that the original Heavy team's chopper went down on the way to extract it. Thank God for the Cobra's ;) I just made it in a hurry to to crash test.

But I wanted to try lots of active units to see if that is the problem. So, if both you guys have XP it must not be an XP problem. I wish I had time to work on it more, but I gotta get a Mission posted, I leave for work Wednesday, no online access for at least a month. :(

If we use that quick .sqm as some sort of benchmark, maybe someone with the time can substitute other unit types and see if it crashes?

I'm runnin out of time and have lots to do before Wednesday.

Like.....One last good drunk
I think tonites the nite 8)

Good Luck, While I'm gone I'm gonna make at LEAST one good mission for the pack. I keep finding cool new stuff everytime I use it.

Aeon - i'll try it out.

as for crashes i had my first ever today... now ive been running fine with HUGE battles in dense jungle with music going and cam created explosions and choppers flyign around covering my ass.

now when it crashed i only had 2 NVA squads and 4 Aircav squads with 3 choppers.... so the crashes cant be a unit count thing can it?

my specs are Athlon 1700 XP, 512mb RAM, GeForce3 Ti500, Windows XP Proffesional

so no problems on my computer side.

oh and one more thing - the Huey slicks - there are 2 versions, i cant see any difference what so ever between them - can some1 shed some light?

Ok, I had time to substitute 2 Air Cav Patrols for the reinforcing Marine Force Recon Teams. Worked fine!
I actually lived ;D As did the Majority of my team.

I also found time to re-upload my SOG Seeing the Elephant mission here at the mission depot. It uses Nam Pack 2 and Jungle Everon. Heck, I started it before Resistance came out!

Try it out when it gets Reviewed and Posted. It's big, 3.2mb, custom music and sounds. I hope it's worth it. I had fun anyway.

And, I'm gonna make more whether you like it or not :P

I take it you're refering to the UH-1D and UH1-H, the main difference between them is that the H has a more powerful engine and can therefore carry more, there are a few other differences, I'm not sure if the the H was slightly longer  :-\
I think it's a good idea to have both cos it means you can set missions in different time periods and have the an accurate version of the Huey to use too

I don't need the whole pack. Just one file. And I don't know German...
EDIT: As for the crashes I didn't have any...and I hope I won't

How about you transfer your SOG mission from Jungle Everon to Ia Trang? ;D  It sounds interesting:)
