Optics question from a new addon maker

Hey gang, I'm currently working on my first ever addon for OFP, a scratch built FN Fal/L1A1 with SUIT optics. So far all is going well, and the gun looks pretty good. I do have one problem however:

Can anybody explain to me (or point me at a tutorial) how to make the optics p3d files for things like scopes. So far I'm using the M21 optics p3d but i'd like to make the SUIT optics. Can anyone help, please?
