some things:

1. Have you placed the program in your desktop? in the readme for XP it does state that this has to be so.

2. Make sure the file is ogg

3. The lip program should make a lip file and then place it where you dragged the sound file from..

anything else, i cant help you with.

Messy, you're wrong mate!

cyberpunk's right, it should be a 16-bit mono file .wav file

Then after you have created the .lip file, you convert your .wav to .ogg format

Really? That'll teach me to beware of readme files...

I'm running XP, with my wav2lip.exe in the directory:

C:\wav2lip

I've never had a problem with it ;)

huh??
Wasn't this problem discussed only a few days ago, with a sollution being mentioned??
Anyhow, where ever it was discussed, I remember the sollution. The wav2lip.exe must be in a folder called "wav2lip" (without the "" of course).

So, for example, C:/wav2lip/wav2lip.exe

If you have it in a folder with any ohter name, for example C:/OFPEdit/wav2lip.exe, it won't work.

Hope this helps:)

EDIT:
mm, thought so. A quick search for "Wav2lip" revealed this topic:

Work's for me as shown in that thread I posted  ;)  :D

and also, remember the sound file MUST be more that 1 second, otherwise you won't hear it.  so just make sure before .lip'ing it

EDIT: also, the .wav files gotta be in the wavetolip folder, you cant drag it into the exe from another folder, tried and true

Things to do:

make sure the .wav is 16 bit mono

Make a folder in C drive called 'Wavetolip'

put the wavetolip.exe into that folder

get the sound file you want to lip, and drag that into the folder as well.

then drag & drop the sound file onto the wavetolip.exe.

wait a few seconds until a small file pops up in the wavetolip folder.

shout me a drink.

Cheers ;D

Actually, I believe the folder should be called       wav2lip     and not          wavtolip
