PBO and RAR

what is the diff? i want to get some addons, but they are .rar and they dont work when i put them into my addon folder

please help!

you have to unpack them first, download winzip:

or do a search 4 winRAR which is the program these files have been compacted in

rar is a way of compacting files much close to zip, all you have to do, is to download winrar (it's free), install it and than extract the .pbo file.
Than copy the .pbo file into your addons folder.

I wrote winrar first but the link doesnÂ't seem to work so I changed it.

wuzn't there some 'fessor once whom said that "if you start to dream or think about computer suff
even when you're NOT anyway near your comp' it's time to pull the plug & pay your
doc a visit.... it's supposed to be quite like if you were an alchoholic - ya just can't quit  ::) ;D
