Icons / Pictures on top of some unit?
« on: 02 Jun 2005, 21:02:17 »
How can I add some icons / pictures on top of some unit, like in Mario game? (hehheh)
I saw a script like this in a few MEC top 10 finalist missions.

Thanks in advance!

I would if I had any idea what you were talking about, as I am not a huge Mario fan...

Icons / pictures doing what exactly? like hovering over thier head?

I like that avatar pic better BTW.

A Icon like that appeared on top of those penguins, when I shot 'em. How do I do that?

Ohhhhhhhh, OK!

To do this you will need to become really familiar with the drop command.

Definitely read Vektorboson's Drop tute over in the editor's depot if you haven't already.

The effect you see in the pic is most likely a "dot matrix" bunch of .2 diameter particles that have been painstakingly mapped out in x/y/z coordinates, over the 'head' of the units, to spell out "+15"

Or you could probably make and config a custom icon and have it called as a particle, but that would take more explaining than I could probably be capable of...
