Who hosts mgpos.pbo?
« on: 26 Mar 2005, 22:28:30 »
It looks like I have used this addon for some checkpoints in my mission.  I am trying to backtrace where I got it and cannot find a source anymore.  Google hasn't been any help.  I don't think it's a default addon, so I need to provide a link to it when I upload my mission.  I might just put it up on my own hosting if all else fails, but I am hoping for a more official source.

I have another problem that may go in its own thread.  It seems my mission complains about needing bas_opfor.pbo.  I don't recall using it for anything, but it still complains even taking it out of my addon list.  I removed all bas PBO files out of my OFP addons and it still complains.  However, the mission works fine.  I want to figure out where this dependency is coming from an quash it.

In your mission.sqm check to see if it hasn't listed the addon, delete all the appropiate things in the .sqm if there is a mention of any bas addons.     ;)  ::)

Search the official forums, ofp.info and ofpec addons depots to find the addon - they are the most likely sources.     The readme may also provide a clue, or at least an email address for the author.

Phantom addons are sometimes a problem.   Check the mission.sqm manually for references to it, not forgetting the intro and outro sections.    Also check the scripts.     If all else fails create a new map in the mission editor and copy and paste the mission into it, that sometimes does the trick.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

I didn't explicitly create any units that would use bas_opfor.  I do use their Blackhawk addon, but I don't think it's a dependency.  As I mentioned before, I can start the mission fine even if I move all the BAS PBOs outside my addons directory.

There's no readme for mgpos, and it's not in the addon depot.  I'll have to try ofp.info or perhaps the BIS forums.

oyman -- it looks like you're on the right track.  I found a link to Bunker Pack 5, developed by "fortress-ofp" on ofp.info.  It has a mgpos.pbo file that looks right, and the release date seems just a little after the timestamp on my drive.
