 >:( I hope you understand how hard it was for alot of these people to make these addons as they are for you to use. You know its not easy, and its not like every single addon maker can make the best of quality stuff. Not all techniques are available for every addon maker too, the scripts required, the model quaility, etc... it takes skilled people to make these you know. Its not as simple as taking it from one addon and using it on another, and if you want to try it yourself you should ask permission before you edit other peoples work, and credit them afterwards. You also have to accept that fact that OFP has its limitations.

Yes i really know, no easy way to make perfect addons.
What good addon need:
Testing and more testing and why not comments and wishes too?
Idea of this topic:
Just make new addon or updates with ready scripts and interface addons.
And that permission problem, better make complete new M1068 addon
with all script makers information.
Brilliant lookin vehicle but still something missing, and that old B-52
about 3 year old model waiting....

Obviously you don't get it. People can't spend all their time working on a single addon, or else it will NEVER get released. I know this from personal experience, so don't question it. Scripting isnt easy, its complex and requires patience. Comments are to be made BEFORE the final versions are released (betas etc...) unless the addon makers encourage you to report bugs etc... And another thing, you should RESPECT addon makers, they gave you that addon to use for FREE, that doesn't give you the right to whine about it not being perfectly made to your standards. There is a reason that your B-52 has not been updated for 3 years, because it takes HARD WORK, and many addon makers don't like to spend all their time on one thing, they usualy do have something else to work on. If you want addons to be made your way, then take part in making them, otherwise let the creators handle it.

My first message and example and remember just example nothing more.
Ready addons, no update requests no comments just serius busines fine ok.
Better make complete new M557 or M1068 addon and add script
maker credits to readme files simple.
Can i  now ask comments please?

As was mentioned in the thread over at http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard311/ikonboard.cgi?s=a9265658095508f707e447586f1d4fdf;act=ST;f=54;t=45389 by Rudedog from COMBAT! regarding the interior modelling of the M577:

Quote
Well, fact is, Pablo had no clear shot of the interior and it was his first addon ever.  So we just decided to do something simple. That way if we ever got good reference pics, we could redo it easily.

As you can imagine, many military vehicles that have been made for OFP have been based on mostly exterior images because many people have never seen the insides of the real vehicles, and acquiring information about some vehicles can be a little difficult. COMBAT! made up the interiors of the M577 to fill in a few basic features and to show a "guess" of what the inside actually looked like, and as Rudedog has mentioned they might update it in the future once they have more data on the actual interior.

And as mentioned over on the BI forum, the real inside of an M577 is pretty plain in regards to stuff that has use in OFP. These are a Mobile Command vehicle, and are mostly filled with multiple radio sets, map boards, and a computer system that functions for Command & Control use, not much else. So my question is, what is it that you are expecting to see added to the M577? Have you ever been in a real one? COMBAT! takes pride in making their addons as realistic as possible, so you need to take that fact into consideration. They aren't going to update their vehicle with features that are not in the real thing or with features that can be done through "simple" scripting and dialog screens. So, when you are asking about "more equipment", what kind are you talking about?

Below are 3 images showing what the inside looks like. The first one is from the inside bay, looking rearward. The second photo is of the FCS located on the right side of the bay (left side if looking at first pic). And the third image is a layout diagram as viewed from the top of the bay. As you can see there, mostly there is nothing but several radio bays and a simple computer console.

I hope this helps you to understand the true use of the M577/M1068 vehicles, and what is really inside them. Maybe you can better clarify what kind of equipment you wish to see inside them?

Obviously you don't understand much about the OFP engine, and what is and is not possible. Especialy since the creators of these addons are not all knowing super powerful OFP gods, they are people just like you and me whos knowledge of scripting. modeling, config writing, etc... are limited to what they have learned, and how skilled they are.

Good question thanks Oyman, sorry.
Checkout example links and perhaps someone tell.
Commander interface with incoming information.
Impossible or not?
New M557 or M1068 addon, silly project?
(only camera and interface testing)

Again, these things are done by scripting, and not within the addon. This type of control is not needed in the addon itself because it would rarely be used, and when needed a script can be used.

It's not impossible to have a commander's view with status display, as those screenshots show it is possible with a script. There are many scripts that use team cameras, "satellite" cameras, etc. If you are needing something like that for some of your missions, then either review those scripts or tutorials, or contact the author for further assistance in making one.

In regards to making a new M577 (not M557) or M1068, what is the point? No addon maker is going to take the time to make a whole new model of a vehicle that has already been made by the COMBAT! team just to add a few rarely-used scripted features like the team camera. And once COMBAT! updates their M577's interior, it will be identical inside to the real thing. So as said many times, the idea of adding those scripts to the addon is in fact a silly idea.

I suggest that you look more into the scripts used for those camera views, instead of asking for a whole new addon. It would solve your problems.

Grunt249 is right, the scripts in that mission are mission unit specific, meaning they are CUSTOMIZED to fit THAT MISSION ONLY, meaning that they cannot be implemented into a stand alone addon. Also, its somewhat complicated scripting, and not everyone knows how to do it, like I said anything addon related can and will be challenging, and im sure the creators of those addons just weren't up to it.
