Player Models
« on: 05 Jul 2004, 04:09:12 »
How come no one has bothered to create a brand new player model? Or maybe even steal a model from some other game/mod and put it into OFP? 'Cuz you've got to admit no matter what skins are created the current human models are always gonna be UgLy....

Really? That's interesting...Where would I find this mod?

It would be good if someone could create a new generic soldier though... And then the community could skin and modify it to get all the different, countries, armies ect... Would be nice if some of the human animations were improved too......*sigh*....where OFP2  ???

Hm, those HALO models are looking very nice. Makes me want to start a little project of my own...Does anyone know the recommended polycount for player models in OFP? And overall how difficult is it getting a custom model in OFP?

the original ofp models have about 1600+ polys
i would say the diffuculty level is medium, you have to define alot of selections in oxygen, plus making all the lods

speaking of the BAS pack.. theres the International troop kit as well that you should look into if you want to save alot of time on making new soldiers..
