although i think the official standpoint was they all died in the crash - russia doesnt want their citizens hearing about their mighty army crashing into a minefield

Sure that idea is good if you can walk in or out and  perhaps drive a UAZ in the back perhaps, but would it work?

nope that wouldnt be possible - but when it comes to paradrops - you could set the exit/entry points at the rear doors - and the pilot could open them before the jumpers jumped

any chance of maybe being able to hang a bmp or something under it? like with a rope sort of thing.......how about making it like another weapon hardpoint or something, and the pilot can choose to drop the bmp onto the ground, then the crew could jump out and get in.

sure, can be with a script, like the chinook carrying a object, with a rope...
