Custom sounds? (No not the regular ones.)
« on: 05 May 2003, 09:04:01 »
Hi, I'm just curious about how to add your own custom sounds that you can use in multi or singleplayer. I don't mean the "playsound", "playmusic" or "say" sounds, I know how to use those already. I mean the custom sounds that you can choose from the "orders" list in the game. Someone once told me that you were supposed to put a folder named "Sounds" in your user folder. Well, then what?

Thx, yer the best.  ;D

Check out the sticky topics at the top of this board.
Read all of it, and you'll be adding your own sounds in no time  8)

Thanks, but I really didn't find the answer to my question anywhere in the sticky topic. I already know how to add sound in a mission. This has to do with the personal custom sounds that you can use when you play any mission.

Ahh... Tricky one..
I think you must de-pbo the file named sound and overwrite the sound files there. Beware of they might be in .wss format, but there is a decoder somewhere on this site.
The file is located in
program files\Operation Flashpoint\Dta\sound.pbo

Any help in this??  ;D

do you mean custom sound in mp? if you do it isn't really a editing question but put you sounds in here like you said

C:\Program Files\Codemasters\OperationFlashpoint\Users\yourname\sound\

and they should just work
