Object names
« on: 11 Apr 2003, 20:07:24 »
Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody knew the names of the bushes and trees that are on the map. For example, I want to be able to find the nearest bush to a unit using the nearestobject command. However, I don't know what the name is for bushes. Anybody know what these names are, or where I can find them? I also would like to know the names for trees and other objects.

I know each bush has a different name, so I'm going to have to make a loop that finds the closest bush of any type. Anyone know of a simpler way to do this? Is there any way to find the nearest object of any type within a class?

Thanks for the help! ::)

Do you have Resistance?
If you have you can click on the "Show Id" button and then zoom zoom zoom and zoom a little more in. Then you sohuld see the Id's to every object. An object syntax is like this :

(Object 12423) setdammage 1

Get it  8)

Well, no, I don't have resistance.... I think I'm gonna break down and buy it in a few days though. I have no idea why I didn't sooner.

Thanks for your help, but that isn't quite what I am looking for. I am making a script, and I need to be able to use the nearestobject command to find the nearest bush/tree/whatever to a unit no matter where they are. To do that, I need the name of the bush/tree/etc.

But thanks for the help anyway  ::)
