Do something like this :
create a trigger that will be activated by the event that will make your vehicle stop and put "dostop nameofmyvehicle" in the activation field. Your vehicle will turn off its engine after a few seconds.
To get it moving again, use another trigger, with whatever condition you need, and put "nameofmyvehicle domove getwppos [nameofmyvehicle, x]", where x is the number of the next waypoint you want your vehicle to go.
Is that clear enough ?
Don't forget to remove the " " in your line of command !

k this is just for the record

i sort fo half figured it out

i used it noramlly but i put a trigger with the setfuel command to 0 and made the waypoint to GET OUT

jus as the helicopter is about to pull away to land on....the land, it runs out of fuel, loses alitiude and lands on the deck of the LSD

they get out...

it could be used!!

but it requires timing and there has got to be a easier way, im leaving this unsolved

k this is becoming confusing

all i want is a command that will turn off the engine

and a command to make units disembark froma vehicle

a command

not a waypoint (but the command could be used in a waypoint tho)

All right. The "dostop" command WILL turn your engine off. To make the units get out of the chopper, use "Unassignvehicle myunit".
If there is still something wrong, give more info about the units (group, where do they go, are there only the pilots or is there also cargo, etc.)
Cheerio  :D !
