I've got a UH60 using waypoints to fly about, and over enemy infantry, but it does'nt fire at them but just flies on past. The gunner is AI and so is the pilot but I don't understand it? Anyone have any clue? I would use the INIT: UH doTarget IN; UH doFire IN but there is loads and loads of infantry and then it gets complicated and I dunno what to do. Please help this lost soul :P

is the ammo bar on "edit Unit" all the way up?

also, is it he uh60 with the machinegun, or is it teh on ewiht da rockets?

Choppers aren't very good at spotting infantry, and in any case they prefer attacking vehicles.

What might help is if you put DESTROY waypoints on top of a couple of the infantry .... that will get the chopper to the right area and shooting.   If the next waypoint is seek and destroy it might help.

Put the skill of the chopper pretty high too.

yeah, its a UMG with Machine Gun, if I made him fly lower would that help? As with the destroy waypoints, well, I'm using the dynamic chopper evac script by First Flash(which is well classy), all I basically want is when the chopper lands to pick up it, it shoots infantry just as it lands, while landed, and as it's taking off. Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Ps, ammo is full and choppers skill is highest.

This came up few weeks ago.    I think the solution might have involved making the gunner of the chopper in a different group from the pilot.    Search the forums, anyway.

The command reveal might help.


You've got a double post there, which is probably not your fault (it does happen sometimes), so delete one of them.

the settings for most helos is armor over infantry you can get a addon from almost any addaon place that has it reset to infintry over armor
