Sound problem
« on: 01 Apr 2003, 18:00:23 »
Ever since i did something to my flashpoint folder about 8 months ago i've had a sound problem. Duno whether its from an official update or an addon. The problem is this; whenever i get into a vehicle (ground) and start travelling at high speed the engine noise gives a sort of distorted sound with it. It also happens when a tank rumbles past me. The only way i can get rid of it is if i switch to an outside view of the vehicle and then go back in, which completely eliminates it until i restart the engine or get out and back in. I cannot use this technique if I am not in the vehicle making the distorted noise. With some vehicles (challenger R/T and other muscle cars) it i so bad you can hear it when you fly low over them in a helicopter. This problem does not happen with aircraft only with ground vehicles. Its a really frustrating problem and i'd be grateful for any help. (running flashpoint 1.91, soundblaster live! value, 2 stereo speakers and a sub) no other sound problems wit any other applications.

hmm I get that problem too  :'( I think its just our sound drivers but I haven't tried updated them, you should ask this at the official forums because we don't do troubleshooting here, anyway somebody else may have fixed it there on the troubleshooting board. Good luck with it.
