The incredible vanishing waypoint.
« on: 05 Feb 2003, 19:23:00 »
Hi all,

Although I select "always show" my waypoints stop appearing on screen.
They show up in early previews, but as I continue to edit the level they just stop appearing. It useually happens after I've switched the player to a different character and then back again.
Anybody know how to get them back?

I know yer problem:

The always show command is not to let the WP appear on screen, itÂ's appearing on the map.

Why do you then c a WP in the first place? Because after youÂ've played a cadet mode map you have cadet mode as preview, but if you donÂ't have played in cadet mode or not played at all before you start the editor, the preview difficultnes is on veteran.

I think that youÂ've exit OFP and started it again without playing in cadet mode. Is that correct?

Thankyou. I'm alternating playing the res campaign and building a campaign of my own on Novgova.
When you say the mission appears on the map do you mean like a marker during play?

Yes, the waypoints appear on the map if you select "always show".
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Then it looks exactly like the waypoint you put out. Except that you donÂ't have any text if you put yer mouse on it.
