Question about INIT
« on: 03 Jan 2003, 07:19:30 »
Is there any way to make a unit be doing push-up's when the game starts?  Also, is there any way to make two units talk to each other silently, so their mouths are moving, but no sound is coming out?
                                    Thanks,
                                   Anthony

For the push ups, you'll have to make a script that makes the unit play the proper animation in a loop...  to continously do pushups...

I can't remember the proper animation at the moment..
but I can assure you that the answer is on these forums.. a quick search would turn it up I bet....
;D

Also.. In order to make a unit move it's lips.. there is a program called wav2lip that synch's audio with the unit's lips...  so... I'm thinking.. yes you could have them moving without sound.. but you'd have to have an audio file first for them to synch their lips to...

check out the ed depot for wav2lip....

I can also guess from your posts that you're fairly new to OFP.. or maybe just mission editing...

So.. welcome to the forums..

but be sure to check out the tutorials you can find in the editor's depot, ;)
and grab yerself a copy of a command reference which details all the possible commands you can use for editing...

The answer to most general kinda editing stuff can be found with a combination of tutes and command references.. anything else.. there's probably someone around here that can answer it for you .. or at least help you figure it out ;)

Happy editing...
