I am Lost plz help

i want to get some info on how i can open a map create by someone in order to edit it (of course i will be including the originator names i am not stealing) what programs, process and such or if i am asking in the wrong place plz direct me to the  correct location to find such information. thank u all

 Well.. I'd go about getting their permission first whomever it is that made the island....

if it is one that is a user made island, then you should be able to de-pbo it  using a utility  (you can find a couple in the editor's depot section of this site)

and if it is a BIS one, you already have the wrp file in your Worlds folder...

except for Nogova which is slightly more complicated to go about getting into ;D

You would then have to have the program  Wrp Edit to do any editing of the .wrp file its self..

There are a bunch of tutorials out there regarding WrpEdit and that is where i suggest you start looking

check out the ed depot, download the UCR (unofficial command reference), and read some tutorials. That should get you started overall. Otherwise go with Kaliyuga there

oops i use the wrong word its not a island i meant to say a ctf mission someone create i would like to edit ( such as weapons, units etc..) which programs help with this

you only need a de-pbo program, there will be a few in the ed dopot, pbo decrypter 1.5 works well get that if its in there.
