He means that Skaven is playing mover coz the poor bummer needs muscles  ::) ( ;D )
lmao, arty - it came from the mission-beta-something board  :-*

Now, Blitzyboy  :D ya wouldn't happen to be placing those "UP"-guys behind walls  ??? ::)
:o If this is it, it may have to do with the fact that the AI can't see the enemy!

Make sure they can see & shoot... test it via leading the guys,
command them to fire at som'n  :) then you'd know for sure if this is the bug.
coz "unitpos" works just fine in RES so it can't be that  :-\

That's exactly the reason why you should not post comments when a thread has to be moved. The moderators know very well when they have to move a thread. Those comments will only cause confusion after the thread is moved. Me and some other moderators use to post a message "Topic moved from..." to avoid this confusion which means extra work that could be avoided.

Get me?

I had this problem with the setunitpos and dofire command. Try "retry"-ing and see if they shoot then. I think its a bug in Res or you've just got some weird problem. Which would be a bug in res, yes?

P.S I love your sig tomb, lol

An other unit pos Q.

In Resistance the KI units can take all positions "up", "down" and "kneed down".

Can somebody tell me command for the third (new) position?
Cause I can't find it anywhere!

Thanks...

Plage

Btw, the "combat crouch" topic is closed already but I think not answered right because "CombatToCrouch" only makes him knee down, aim and stand up again!?!

When you think that a thread was marked as solved too early, you should contact the initiator of the thread and ask him to re-open it. YOu shouldn't use other threads for these statements.

Ok, perhaps i didnt have enough info.
I am placing my units behind a wood fence or to you and me sandbags. They can see very well over it ann even aim at the enemy when there about. But still they dont fire.

Yeah, thats what I feared you'd say & what I was thinking of when I asked if you were placing the guys behind walls.

Nothing to do about it, matey!  :-\ ::) The AI won't fire if they sit behind the woodfence.

sorry lazzy  :-\

Have you tried setting the AI to combat mode? I have never had this problem in OFP:R

nope - its a real bug - nothing to be done about it - place a unti too close behind a woodfence and it cant shoot - guess there is a section above what is textured that we cant see (alpha channel) but the ai know they are behind a wall.

Exactly.

Ya might wanna try one of the RES/kelloggs-addon houseruins as a replacement for the sandbagos ( LOL, I just saw some of those on the beach today  :o ;D 8) )

*COUGH* uuuhm, yes, the tropi...  TOPIC - sheez Tomb!  ::) ;D

Uhm, Kegtyges ( close to this anyway ) made a "misc objects" addon, it's sort of an upgrade for the old gunslinger addon. it has some small ruins which are good for "dogtown" missions  :-*

Maybe this could save yer own mission?! Try it fer size, m8  :)

Thank you all very much for your help.
I hope this gets fixed one day but no problem, its not exactly the only thing to stand behind in defence.
thanks again.
