Trigger curiosity
« on: 08 Nov 2002, 04:22:44 »
I was wondering is there a way to make a trigger activate then reset itself then activate again over and over again.

I was screwing around with editor (trying to become friendly with it) I made a trigger that made my setdammage 0.0 I was wondering could I have one that consently activate so say if I got injured it would instanly heal me. over and over again.
A god code of sorts. and just for my own curiosity.

Thanks in advance. ;D

set your trigger to repeatably and put this in the condition line

getdammage player > 0

and this in the onactivation field

player setdammage 0

It works to a point. It heals me but the game ends. I just was curious if this would work it would be fun when I feel like screwing around. or testing a mission.

Thanks for the help   :-\

One way around here is:

Use multiplayer for testing your mission.

In main-menu goto multiplayer, and then select: NEW
Then you will be at the map/missions selection screen, where
you're also able to start the mission editor (i think it's at the
top of the missions list).

Just copy your mission_name folder from OFP/user/missions/
your_name/  to OFP/user/mpmissions/your_name/

Then you'll be able to select your mission in multiplayer.
At the mp-mission selection, there are missions, showing
up in green letters, and missions, showing up in yellow letters.
The ones in yellow letters can be accessed thru mission editor.

You don't need to export your mission to multiplayer, to be able to play it as mp (just hit the preview key).

The big advance when using mp-editor is: you can enable
respawn. So if you're using respawn=3, your player will
respawn, where he got killed before.
