I have an artillery scripts and i wanted to know how to use it on downloaded islands like CAT Afghanistan. It seems to only work on the map that it was name for like .cain .eden etc. It gives me a error that says the .sqs is not found.

Over in the BI Forums you said you're trying Artillery by TakeOffTim.

The zip includes a folder One-Click-Artillery.Intro - this is a demo mission and should be installed to <OFP>\Users\<Your Username>\Missions\. It can then be tried through the Mission Editor on Desert island.

When you want to use the script in one of your own missions, you must first create a mission through the Editor (on an island of your choice), and then copy ALL the relevant parts of the script into it - in this case, basically everything except mission.sqm.

In other words:
 - open Windows Explorer (or whatever) and navigate to <OFP>\Users\<Your Username>\Missions\
 - run OFP, create the beginnings of your mission
 - - - For this particular script you need to place 4 objects and name them Art1 to Art4 to represent the battery
 - save it and return to the main menu
 - Alt-Tab to Explorer
 - copy everything except mission.sqm from One-Click-Artillery.Intro into your mission
 - Alt-Tab back to OFP
 - load your mission again in the Editor
 - the default artillery options should now be available when you preview it

When i save my missions is it supposed to show up in the users/missions folder because i don't see my mission there. Do i save my mission into User missions or singleplayer missions? Or do i save it as mission or intro.

Either option for saving should create / update the folder in <OFP>\Users\<Your Username>\Missions\. "Export to singleplayer" means that a copy is sent to <OFP>\Missions\ in a packed, so-called pbo, format.

If you really can't find it, give it an outrageous name and search for it, or try some other advice from this thread.

Keep the Mission Editor in 'Mission' mode for the result to be playable. The other options (Intro, OutroWin, OutroLose) are cutscenes that occur before / after the mission is played.

The confusion arose because OFP missions use the .name part to indicate on which island the action takes place. The original ones are:
.intro - Desert Island, which you see when first launching OFP
   .eden - Everon
   .abel - Malden
   .cain - Kolgujev
Then the Resistance expansion added
   .noe - Nogova
Other islands created by the community have their own moniker, eg.
   .catintro - CAT Afghanistan
