creating light

hi y'all  
i was wondering if theres a way to create a sort of permanent flare, like for a LZ at night time...just to make things a bit easier to see.i remember seeing it in several vietnam missions but didnt know how to do it

This may help you. It is the streetlamps addon. TO make them glow, just type in its init field "this inflame true"

 If you just want a "perpetual flare" you can make yerself a script that camcreates a flare every few seconds, just make sure you create it a ways off the ground so it has a chance to loft down to tha ground.. experiment with timing so it will always be lit up
