Script not found?
« on: 18 Jan 2006, 21:46:44 »
I've followed instructions to the letter on inserting scripts into a mission-and the game continually tells me it can't find the script I've told it to execute.  I've tried putting it in my general missions folder and my specific mission folder, I've copied and pasted the name to make sure that I didn't mistype, and it still tells me that it can't be found.  Can anyone give me a hand?  If I can't get this stuff to run, I'm gonna have to scrap a mission I've been working on.

p.s.-just reformatted my computer, don't know if that may have something to do with it.

Make sure your script is called:

whateveryoucalledit.sqs

and not

whateveryoucalledit.sqs.txt

or

whateveryoucalledit.txt

Tell windows not to hide file extensions.

D'oh.  Argh... embarrassing.  Windows defaulted to not showing the extension after the fresh reinstall, and I hadn't caught it yet.  My script was named "toughunit.sqs.txt" (not getting me very far, eh?)

Thanks Planck :)

Don't worry.    That is the commonest and most famous cockup.   Show me somebody who claims it hasn't happened to him and I'll show you a liar liar pants inflame true.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Should I be worried that I'm audibly laughing at blatant OFP editor jokes?
