Setting up a helo to be on support for CAS missions
«

This is the situation:
I need help in assigning helicopters to be on standbye to perform support missions for my combat forces (med-evac, ammo resupply, extraction, CAS, Patrols).
Also, how do I get them to fly to a specific pos that I select on the map?

I think I would need more information to help with the first one - what exactly do you want to do?
Getting choppers to exactly what you want can be a painful exercise. I preseme you have tried using a waypoint? Have you tried a doMove instruction? You might want to look at moving a waypoint to where you want is usign setWPPos

"Heli Transport (map click)" script by skumball is a very good script you could use for evac and providing ammo for troops. I've used it several times. It even works on dedi servers.
Get it here:

What I want to do is have lets say a cobra helicopter at a base on the ground. i want to call the helo and click on the map where i want it to do a CAS (close-air-support) mission.

Or just use snYpir's SP/MP Support Pack from the Editors Depot. No point in reinventing the wheel unless you want to.

Thats good to know. I tried the demo and liked it but never used it in any maps yet. I'll be sure to use it next time.
Thanks.

Pazuzu, I liked Skumball's script but evey time i put men in, one of the men would take gunner position and stay as joined with the heli pilot. so i changed the scritp with a gunner added to the chopper. did you have the same prob? i changed it,,,,
