Whats up with titletext and sounds?

Every time i try to play a sound with title text for subtitles, the text never shows up. Whats going on?

What do you mean? When you use the "say" command, combined with stringtable.csv and those things?

Yes you need to use the stringtable.csv to have your text to be displayed You can however use the trigger or wp text
info box to dispay it as well!! I think! ;D

No, it doesnt even work in triggers.

Yeah, i had a sneaking suspicion i needed a stringtable. So, on that note, could someone help me write one? It just needs to have two "strings" of speech in it right now

Ok, is something specific with the file names of the sounds or something? Look at this...

LANGUAGE,English,French,Italian,Spanish,German,Comment

STR_s02v_101,"What's the situation, sir? Any activity the."
STR_s02v_102,"Well, Corporal, the enemy is starting move."
STR_s02v_103,"They don't look too entrenched.  I can see."
STR_s02v_104,"OK, let's get back to the platoon. Los!",Ltn.

Thats an example of a stringtable.csv from an official mission, and the following is something i tried...

LANGUAGE,English,Comment

STR_in01,"Good to see you boys, we're ready for you.",co
STR_in02,"You'll be briefed further en-route. Good luck.",co

Its highly simplified, and its not working. Does the file name of the sounds have to be devided like that or something? What am i missing? The title text is the only thing that isnt showing up.

Ok, well do you have a description.ext file
this is where your sounds or radio descriptions go.
And at the end of each one, will be the STRM
this is what links the sounds to the written text.
Have a look at some of the radio tuts ;D

The text for speech (found in your stringtable.csv) will replace anything you write on the screen in titletext at the same time.

Try putting your titletext on the screen after your speech line, so the titletext should over write the sound text.

Or failing that, use cuttext instead of titletext, as they can be put onto the screen at the same time

Along the lines of titletext writing not coming up.

If i'm using titletext with no sound and the subtitle still don't come up.
