detonating camcreated satchels?

Being that im in love with the new ECP effect on satchels, is there a way to camcreate them and blow them up through a trigger? =)

or a way to run that explosion effect off the ECP satchel onto something else?

yes. and no ;)

there is a way to get satchels to work by detonating them, but it requires a lot of cheating, i.e. making a loon, equipping him with a satchel, getting him to lay it where you want, then hiding the loon somewhere close enough to issue a touchoff command.

alternatively, you could give the satchel a global name, then simply camcreate a laserguidedbomb at its position when you want it to blow up. i'd go with the latter ;)

whether that reproduces the satchel effect in ecp is another question.

couldnt yo ucam create it and just make an explotion on its position then deletevehicle it with a script? that is the way i would do it.

Aye, but problem is, that the the main thing i need is the ECP drop effect, that comes off satchels :/

Would be own as hell if used to simulate artillery (god i hope COC makes a dropped simulation of explosions if it ever gets updated)

Would like to use the script for it if it was possible, but alas, i have zero clue on that stuff, did manage to pull out the thing used(i think) and take a look at it, but not much luck getting it to make sense, much less getting it to work :/

The drop effect isn't part of the satchel charge, its either a script or its own seperate config entry. In either case, you can use them stand alone (or if it is a script and it has specific paremeters, you can duplicate it to work for you) without the satchel charge. Its just a matter of finding it and how to use it, which is very simple...

I am not sure if your looking for something like this. I made this a long time ago and it might help. it comes with an example mission.

It creates a new menu using addaction and gives you a choice between 2 types of satchels. It even includes the animation of the soldier putting the satchel down.

Its a nice script..

But im afraid it isnt quite what im looking for :/ i need the satchel or preferably the satchel effect to be detonated through a trigger..
