Click to move

Could anyone write a script that permantly puts the player in the commanders view, even if theres no people in the team? and also so you can move your man with a mouse click (a bit like full spectrum warrior) i think it would add a new element to the gameplay! :D

Find attached something I found a while back (don't recall where) that will at least check for and Hint that the player is in 1st or 3d person view. Perhaps it'll be good start for you.

About your second request:

1) Do you want to move yourself via map click, in other words setPos youself to another position, or
2) setPos one of your men, or
3) have you men move to a position designate on the map?

would be the best idea though would it be possible to move the same way you tell your AI team mates to move, would it be possible to make the player charecter AI? then you could select him using the F1-F12 key and click somewhere on the screen.
also could you put the camera onto different team mates and see what they see?

A lot of what you're requesting are incluced in The Chain of Command's Command Engine.

Here's the link to our page: The Chain of Command

It's not as quick nor fluid as FSW, in terms of the camera, but then it wasn't meant to be.

Download the following:
1) Phaeden's USMC Symbols

2) Command Engine, v1.22 Example Mission

3) Command Engine, v1.22 Editing. The zip contains a template, and a Manual detailing how to build missions using the Command Engine.

4) Player's Manual, detailing how to use the Command Engine in-game.

And here's a direct link to our Forums. If you've any questions related to the Command Engine (CE), don't hesitate to post there. A response may take a while, but you will get one.  ;D

And check out our Torpedoes and Artillery!

 ;D
