Where is my mission briefing?

Hi all,

My english is bad, but i can learn how to use de OFP mission editor. I'm read the tutorial help, but i have a problem... i can't view my briefing when select the mission in single mission menu.

I'm use winpbo program for add mission.pbo and briefing.html in the same file.pbo, but i can't view the briefing...

Another problem is, when i'm use a "sensor - F3", sorry i don't know word in english, in game i can't sucess appears a new helicopter in the game.

My soldiers cross a bridge, and in this time, i would like a new helicopter appears in the sky and atack enemy forces, but...

I'm use winpbo program for add mission.pbo

try using the flashpoint editor to "export as single mission" when you save it (its in the drop down menu)

could you give a little more information about the helicopter? does it already exist? if so, then synchronise (F5 i think) a trigger activated by your men when they cross a bridge with the waypoint (F4) before the one to attack the men.

a "sensor" in english is the word the game uses in the "mission.sqm" but we tend to use "trigger" in the forums

You can't view the briefing in the editor unless you hold shift whilst pressing Preview.......I think.

If you want to Create a new Helicopter, they are 2 options...

1. Vehiclecreating it (recommended, but its quite harder...)
2. Setpossing it on the combat area...


I'll splain you the 2nd one.. :p

First put a helicopter somewhere far away, and name it "chopper"
secound put  a Heliport (invisible) where you want the helicopter appears... and name it "portal"

whenever you want to make appear the helicopter, setpos it tho teh portal.. like these Triggger (Sensor - F3)

Condition: Whatever must happen
On Activation: Chopper setpos [Getpos portal select 0,getpos portal select 1, 30]

and even you can do some extra things... like " Chopper dotarget Target "
or " chopper setcombatmode "red" " or even adding a little of speed will be great " chopper Setvelocity [ x,y,z ] " Where X Y Z are numbers...

In order to view the mission briefing in the editor, preview it and press M (map).

I actually meant, and should have explained it better, when starting the mission from the editor holding shift whilst pressing Preview displays the briefing before the mission starts......I think......but I could be wrong.

No you are right Planck

Maybe it depends how long you hold the shift key down.  If you press and hold the shift key down and press Preview you do go to the briefing - complete with sound if you have any enabled for it.
