I was just wondering, what happens if I make a unit "playable". What does that mean. I know it's a stupid question to ask after having played the game ever since Red Hammer was released but I only just realised the word playable existed in the game.

It means you may chose to play that unit in the multiplayer set up, if you are making a MP mission.
