Extracting sounds from DBHD
« on: 30 May 2005, 22:25:37 »
Is it possible to extract sounds and dialogues from Delta Force Black Hawk down (the Novalogic Game, not the movie)(and if it is, ehm....how?)).
I believe BAS has done this in part to sample some of their Tonal voices.
Hope it can be done.

Shouldnt you ask this on a DFBHD forum? and not an OFP one?

No, since it's OFP I want to use the sounds for.

but if you take their sounds without asking or permission doesnt that count as copyright or something like that so you need to ask for Novalogics permission or whoever made that game then we can tell you.

Yes, presuming I want to release anything which would include samples and/or dialogue from DBHD I would need approval of Novalogic.
I've already asked for it but meanwhile was wondering if it would be possible at all to do so.
Don't think they'll give it anyway but the main reason for asking was just to take a look at what they've done, I was reasonably impressed by their method.
