Don't see why not..
I would organise it, but I'm really busy this weekend (Webdesign stuff)..
It's easy enough, aslong as you have a decent host (Depends on how many people showup.. <10 anyone with broadband can host [that's a max in my experince, any more it's unplable])
The only reason I'd say "no" is that adodns take longer to make.. Missions can be put together in a day or less, addons take (mostly) atleast a week to make a decent one.. They can't be edited quickly (Like a mission) for bugs.. If you see what I mean

Cool idea though :)

what?

It takes me a week to finish, write brief/over/descript,work out all the bugs, and all that other stuff.

and thats if you have and idea, my bigest problem is thinking of a mission idea

Really, a week? It takes me ages to make most of my missions. I've been working on my current one for over a month now  :-[

well then, tell me when that is ready, if you spent that much time on it it must be tight. ;)

I struggle to complete one a year.  ::)   It is impossible to make a decent mission in less than 50xmission time.   (Just think about the playtesting time alone.)   A good mission will take considerably longer.    Anything thrown together in a day is not a mission, it's just fooling around in the editor.  Which is fun and worthwhile, but is not mission making.

@ in'fierie blou - I hope there will be a party here too.    Not sure when though.    Not till the [nothern hemisphere] summer at least.

Hi there!

Only one per year macguba? Damn guess I must wait until next year to play another mission from you... HO wait... I will be in the army so I wont be able to play... :( i am gonna cry...

Btw saw my mission Caçador Nocturno in the beta testing corner? Well that mission was made in 2 hours + 1hour of briefing/notes!!!
It is not a masterpiece but it isnt just fooling around with the editor too...

Take care

Normally takes me a few months to put together a mission of good quality, im currently making a mission, been doing it for almost 2 months now and I'd say it's still only 65%.

Any back ON TOPIC, i would love to see a party here, it would be good to try out addons although people probs won't be able to get them on here as quickly as missions.

@Tyger

I am making a new version, well a totaly different mission from the original...
Now is about (me in the future ??? i guess at least the background story) some portuguese ranger and all that stuff that doesnt belong here...  :o
And only took me 3 hours to correct the bugs... I guess... I didnt count them!

Back on topic...

I would LOVE a party about addons, missions yeah they are easier to make (i guess) and addons are many out there but it is always fun trying something new...
I always download missions with addons (until 45MB) so I can see what are the differences and to see whats new in this ofp world...

So a party is always welcome even if I wont participate... I cant make addons...

Take care

Maybe you can't make addons, but you can help test them.   By the time we get to the party there will be a sticky topic here with some tips on how to test.
