Is it just me or did the flags in the game flap in the wind?? When I place a flag on a pole in the ditor and preview it, It looks like the flag on the moon, Straight and starched. Any Help??

They do flap. Try making the weather worse.

Thanks Mcguba never thought of that!! But If there is no weather shouldnt't the cloth be hanging down not sticking straight out??

Yes ...... I thought of that, but I hoped that if I ignored that little detail it would go away. ;D

What flag are you placing? Are you placing the default flagpole, and then using the setflagtexture (?) command to set it's flag? Or are you placing something that automatically has a flag on it?

I ask because in Gunslingers/Kegetys editor addon, there are flags that are included, but they don't work like real flags. I suspect that is what you are placing, not the real BIS flagpole.

Try them all out, just one flaps in the wind.. cant remember which one, I belive the first in the list. Use setflagtexture to have your texture.

Ahhhh, And the Baron strikes again, Ya im using a flagpole that already has a flag "pre"attached, how do i use the setexture command for the regular american flag?

In the init field of your empty flagpole put:

flagpolename setFlagTexture "usa_vlajka.pac"

or

this setFlagTexture "usa_vlajka.pac"

This of course is the US flag

The Flags.pbo in your addons folder has a whole list of flags you can use for just about any country you care to think of.
These are all in .jpg format.

So:

this setFlagTexture "Scotland.jpg"

would give you the St. Andrews cross. ;D ;D

Planck is right of course. The correct syntax to grab the flag directly from the addon is

flag1 setFlagTexture "\Flags\Scotland.jpg"

There are lists of what flags are in the addon, but I recommend you unpbo it and look at the thumbnails.
