creating units
« on: 17 Feb 2005, 03:48:03 »
Well ive just downloaded something, and I'd like to know how people make it possible to select a unit in the mission editor.
Um.. ill explain...

e.g. if using F1, you create a unit, you create a T80

and people can make there own units. So can anyone explain? Sorry I know this is explained very badly otherwise I'll try to make a picture!

If you mean:

How do people who make their own addon units make them also available in the mission editor?

The answer is it is all done in the config.cpp file.

For example.

The line....

VehicleClass = "Freds Tanks";

I know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little.

cool.... and um... 2 last things... where?
Where do I put the thing? In the folder with the unit? I'll try...

and, how do I make the config execute the script? Or is there a specific name for the script folder?
