Text & Pic Information

Throughout all the information i went through to find all the information i have found about Text within' OFP system.  I have created an intro for my campign on the days i had no internet.

Today, i am at my computer class aka BOCES:: Computer Information System.

I have tried a few methods to create two different types of Text to show up on the screen at the same time.  None of them worked.

* I would like to have one text to be a color such as Red maybe, then the one under which is a different font and size could be white.  Then they would show up at the same time, or maybe a interval of .5 or something.

Also i would like to know this because i will be making some credits or different intros/outro on certain missions... etc.

I have changed the intro many times... all i have is::

OFPWiZard
PRESENTS
a WAYDAAMN production
*the mission name*

I would like to have an addition to these text.  Maybe a lot of underscores, for example::

OFPWiZard
_________

but right under each other... get it?

ALSO

I would like to know where i could find information on putting my own pictures within' OFP... so instead of the mission name in a text form... i would like to use a picture.

Is it something with the::

Piece of cake. Just make two (or how many you wanna show) small dialogs (tute in ed depot) with no background. Now if you wanna fade 'em, that's gonna be tricky.

What you're asking for is explained in a very good way in realisticScrolltext tutorial. It's in the Ed depot. Go download it now. It was so simple even my generation (who prefers type writers to computers) can understand it.

It won't give your underlines, but all you want is coloured text of different sizes and in different fonts, then read xenofane's font text tutorial.     It's a little puzzling at first, but just keep looking at it.

hmm that's the same one i used... even two years ago.

i did but then i lost the info...

i know you have to like have it like a certain pixel or something like... if one side is 64 the other side must be in multiples of 2 or 4 or something like that... etc.

Nah, you use the description.ext techniqe. It's bound to be on the forums somewhere.

i found the information 2 years ago... well i think i found a mission with it.

i have some CTF missions which have it in it... and i copied and changed images but it still didn't work

please help me look

i tried looking for:

pics
jpgs <-- got only info about obj & brefs
png
gif
... etc.

Fishion wrote a tute on how to add pictures to your Overview.    The point you are half-remembering is that each side of the pic must be a power of 2 in pixels.     64, 128, 256, etc..

.jpg is usually best.   To add pics to missions you need to define them in description.ext and call them in the mission with a cutRsc command.   There is a tute although I can't remember by whom.

I found the information about the two text in one

I had to use instead of only "name1"... i had to create

}
work1,
name1

etc.

then have two different sections of text.

but ya if anyone finds it out before (about the pic in mission) or even give me the whoel diescription.ext file information... please do.

i'll post it up when i find it myself.
