Lighthouse
« on: 29 Jan 2003, 15:40:43 »
I just made this lighthouse script and i'm having some trouble with time-related things such as time-compression and normal ingame time ???

the script sort of works o.k. in normal time, but it stops working  during and after time-compression.

so if anyone has any pointers for me please post them

i have also included a demo-mission(there are no objectives, just fly round and look at the lighthouses)

I also built a working lighthouse some time back

Try looking at how I did it

Thanks Walker,

Your script is at least OFP:R-proof if not soldier-proof ,
and your addon does offer a brighter light than the .50MG does 8)

Still I think it would be nice to have more variables in a lighthouse script, so you could recognise the lighthouse by it's light-characteristics.
(not that i'm working on any naval mission or anything ;))

best regards , Muts

Haha I found what killed the script during time-compression!

The lighthouseoperators died from being suspended in mid-air during time compresion.
Now they are teleported onto the ground inside the lighthouse they stay alive and thus make more effective lighthouseoperators.
the lighthouse now keeps working during and after time-compression.

the problem of the script not following ingame time however has not yet been solved......

@ walker
I wanted to see your script, but i got "Sorry, some required files are missing, if you intended to view a topic, it's possible that it's been moved or deleted. Please go back and try again. "
Can u put it again, or email me?
Thanks
