siren script

Can someone explain to me like i'm stupid how to make a car have a siren and lights that blink (not rotate)?  I know you use a animationphase trigger, a sound loop and a settexture time thing, but how do u make the lights blink?

The FDF-mod already has it. Download it, unpbo it and check what they did.

Where do you need it? Some police mission, eh? You better use that FDF police car.. There is those sirens and lights on the roof.

isn't the fdf mod 300 some mb?  And every other police addon doesn't have want i'm looking for or it has other crap in it.  I've looked at the GAZ police and deadmeat's police pack, but they got alot of confusing crap.

I know you have a animation and a useraction, and a script that if the action is 1, then it execs, like the siren loop.  But i need blinking lights.  From what i saw it was a hidden selection with a settexture thingy on a timer, but i tried doing that and it didn't work too well.

okay, never mind about that.  How do you hide selections.  i thought it was a line in the config hiddenselection ["blah"], and blah would be a selection in the model, but it's still there in the game.  It's for a American cop car.  I would appreciate any help.

Don't you worry about it, i'll find a better way cause "hidden selections" can't be displayed in MP games  >:( I'm working on it  ;)
