Stop player movement
« on: 11 Dec 2004, 19:54:13 »
Hi all.  :)

Is there a way to stop the player from doing anything for, say, 15 seconds, then let him move again? Like, kinda lock the keyboard but keep everything else going on around him?

Thanks

You could put something like this in a script:

Code: [Select]
disableUserInput true
~15
disableUserInput false
exit

Simple as that ;)

EDIT:
When the DiasableUserinput command is made true, the player wont be able to do anything. He can't move, use the action menu, change view, or even exit the mission until the command is made false again.

That worked, but I sort of need something less 'stall' like. Something that will let the player look around, but not move, shoot, or use the action menu. Any ideas?  ;)

If that is impossible, just something that would dissable the action menu would be good.  ;D

There probably isn't.   What's the underlying question?    What are you really trying to do?     Would a cutscene do the trick?
