How to make flame make dammage?

I mean the flamethrower with out trigher,is this possible?
WW2EC's Britsh soldier addons has a flamethrower,and I can also make it work by using a triger,but can only script do this?

I'm not sure I understand you... if this is a question about that specific addon, just follow the directions in the readme to get it to work. Who cares if you have to use a trigger or not?

there is an actual flamethrower addon that doesnt require anything to be exec'ed from the editor to work. PM me with your email address and Ill get it to you
