Identity of Civilians

I have a civilian.  The unit name is 'spy1' and I have set the identity to 'Irma'.  The instruction

spy1 globalchat"blah blah"

Results in the message:
Civilian: Blah blah

How can I get the message to show that it is from Irma  (or even spy1 will do)  instead of 'Civilian'?

You'll need to make a custom HQ callsign. Basically, instead of using "papa bear", you overwrite it with your own callsign. Check the ed depot for Toadlife's tut on doing this.

As a note, you never see the name of whoever is talking, unless they are a player, AFAIK.

The old fashioned workaround was simply to add the name to the message.

spy1 globalchat "(Spy1)   blah blah"
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Thanks both.  I will use the simple method while I research the more complicated one.  I plan to have at least 3 'spys'

The complicated one (which isn't that difficult) permits only two call signs, which is a game limitation.

So two it will have to be.  I am still at an early stage in the creation of the mission so I can work round it.  It is still a long way from beta testing.  More later...
