description.ext
« on: 07 Oct 2004, 18:25:04 »
I have created two different dialogs using Razorwings dialog maker. I was hoping to use them both in a mission. If I put both .ext code in the description file will it work?

I did a search on this site and seen some say 2 description is not needed or possible. will the dialog know where to go in the ext file if I merge the codes?

Does anyone know of a better tutorial on this program besides the readme that came with it. It's nice but I would like to find out how to use some of the more advanced features of the program.

As always thanks ;D

You can have only one description.ext.   You can put into it as many dialogues, and as many everthing elses, as you like.  Obviously you need to ensure that you have different names for everything.   The game usually crashes very quickly and quietly when you make a mistake in description.ext, but the error message you get after the crash can be very helpful.

Remember that you have to save your mission after editing description.ext for the changes to take effect.

There is a detailed tute on dialogues, I think it is by vektorboson but I'm not sure.    Won't help specifically with the dialogue maker, but it will help you understand the background.
