No weapon

I need to get a unit to start without any weapons. like say I wanted a sniper to start without his sniper rifle and sidearm and all the grenades hes carrying. how would I do that.

One of the tutes - I think it's Abuu's - is a good introduction to many of the common lines of code that go in init fields.   In any event, you are strongly recommended to read all of the tutorials in Tutorials - Getting started.
