Using all the islands?
« on: 08 Sep 2004, 17:35:14 »
Hi there,

Right ok so im involved in the Civil War campaign and in the story the all the islands are being used. Now im not making the missions im just making the cutscenes but i need to know how i can get all five islands in one cutscene.

Cos say Lipany on Nogova is the capital, Everon has some other areas of interest and so on. Now in the intro i want to show different bits frm each island, u know to show the depth of the campaign and show that the campaign is not limited to the one island.

I mean i cud just use the one island and just say its Everon, when its actually on Nogova  :) cos there are sum areas that resemble each other but it wud be handy if i knew how to incorparate all the islands.

But than i have to ask how wud that be dun, i mean i cant make one shot on one island exit the editor, open up another island and take a shot frm there and so on.

So can it be dun?

Cheers

Yes.

Only in a campaign though.   I don't know the exact details, but basically you would have five missions, one on each island.    Each mission would consist of only a cutscene.   You'd need blackouts between them to cover the change.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Thanks for the reply  ;D but u see i want to show ALL the islands in the very first main INTRO u will see wen u play the campaign. Say u have one shot of Nogova BLACK OUT - shot of Everon BLACK OUT and so on. Can that be shown in an intro?

Thanks
