Group of choppers crashing into another
« on: 02 Sep 2004, 17:46:48 »
I have a group of choppers taking off when enemy detected. But when they get to the waypoint, they crash into another. They are of same type (Russian Mi-8TVK from FDF mod). Is it possible to make them still be in same group, so it will be one "move" order to them and not some crazy bunch of scripts?

As I have searced of this problem, I got only questions, not answers. People just making it to be one chopper or whatever.

That's the problem right there.   They crash into each other as you've noticed.     Put them in their own groups and synchro the waypoints if you need to.    Make them high skill.

Controlling choppers effectively takes a lot of work.   If you don't want to do the work, don't use them.     It's that simple.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Ok, I think, there is another way:

this flyinheight 50
this flyinheight 75
this flyinheight 100

As I test it, seems that the group leader cannot affect their height. Looks nice they coming in the V formation in different heights.

(tsss, dont tell anyone, AI have not been present at flying lessons)
