Prop dust for fixed wing aircraft?
« on: 28 Jul 2004, 05:56:43 »
Is it possible to create a script similar to the rotordust scripts that will simulate dust being blown back from the props of a fixed wing aircraft?  I was playing with the new Coast Guard HC-130, and I thought to my self, wouldn't it be cool if dust would blow back from the props while I'm taxing on the runway?  But I guess with the C-130 you would need to be able to have the dust clouds go in the opposite direction when the thrust reverse is used.  (Thrust reverse works by changing the pitch of the props, not by reversing direction of rotation).  Also you would need to make different scripts for single engine, twin engine, and 4 engine aircraft.  And also there isn't much point of this script once the aircraft is airborne, it would only work when the aircraft is on the ground....

It is indeed very possible, hold on, I have a script for just that.
I am actually flying into a star... this is incredible!
