Two things

Hello all.

Just two things i wanna know.

1) I need either an A-10 or AH1 to attack a civilain convoy - friendly fire etc. I've tried the doFire thingy but thats pretty crappy for this. I need the whole convoy destroyed/ damaged. Maybe cud use an airstrike script.

2) Simple one. I need a civilian with a glock so i put this addWeapon"Glock" than i need sum ammo so i put this addMagazine"Glock". But there aint any ammo there!!!!!!!!!!!

Check you have the right ammo name, and add the ammo before the weapon.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

:hmm:

1.) Use the old grouping trick for the civvis. Group the civvie convoy to a russian guy with a colonel rank and deletevehicle him (deletevehicle this). Then your A10/ah1 should go nuts when it sees the civvis and blow them to pieces

2.) I had this problem to. If the ammo doesn't work right, put a "mag" on it.

Glock17= this addweapon "Glock"; this addmagazine "Glockmag"

Same with all handguns and the G36a I'm pretty sure.

You don't even need to use the deleteVehicle command on the russian soldier to make the civs enemies. Just change the probability of presence in the russian soldiers init field to 0.

Alternatively create the civ convoy as either east or resistance (set resistance friendly to no one) then open the mission.sqm and change the vehicle line for each "enemy soldier" you want to transform into a civilian.

I'm doing the same thing for my new mission Internecion where it's NATO fighting NATO. Easy enough to plant the "enemy" NATO tanks as actually russian east tanks, open mission.sqm change the vehicle line for each unit. Voila.

Duh, prob of presence to zero .... why didn't I think of that ....

Editing the mission.sqm does work as well.   However, if you subsequently edit the unit it will revert to its original side.   The grouping trick is probably easier and more reliable.

I tried the deletevehicle thing but the russian guy is still there? The trucks are all grouped to him also.

I put deleteVehicle this in the russian dudes init field but he is still there.

Whats wrong?

Errr should of worked, not sure why, you put the code in his init line in these exact words? "deletevehicle this"
Maybe the game didn't like the capital V... :P

If you can't get that to work then use Acid's idea of setting his probablility of presece to zero in his edit unit menu.  :)
