IN/ABOVE WATER DETECTION
« on: 04 Jul 2004, 10:12:33 »
Is it possible to detect if a player is in/above water?

I've tried out the overWater.sqf function taken from the function archives, but that doesn't work for sure.. It gives the wrong readings - even when I stand still - it changes it's output. (True/False).  I know this might sound silly, but does it have to do with the island I'm using? (Sarugao)

I don't know if there is a way... if the function you are using works some of the time, maybe it just determines if you are above water, ie. in a plane.

I don't think it would matter if the island was a custom one or an official one, but I don't think it would hurt to test it out on Everon or something.
