Pitch, Bank & Removing "move in back" menu option?
« on: 30 Mar 2004, 18:47:58 »
Hi,

Ive been messing around with a way to get Pitch and Bank, Turret Direction and Gun elevation from Vehicles\Aircraft and Turrets e.t.c And relative positions of just about anything on a vehicle.

Its inspired by a post by illario here:

http://www.ofpec.com/yabbse/index.php?board=8;action=display;threadid=16645

It uses game logics that should be locked into unuasable (for the player) cargo slots. Under certain circumstances though, a player controled vehicle commander has the option to move into these slots, which I dont want.

Is it possible to remove the "Move In Back" menu option for certain Vehicles or players?

Theres a couple of Addons from the demo, I rigged to try it out MYT72 and MYUH60. You can download them from here, along with a couple of example missions:

Thanks for any suggestions.

Cheers

Yeah, sorry.

sa8gecko pointed out that I was not using Height Above Sea Level, so it returned the wrong results unless your on relatively flat terrain.

I took the file down with a plan to fix it, I been to busy with something else and never got the chance.

I have uploaded the file again:

But we are still finding out the limitations. You can use it for turret dir without any problems, just watch the pitch and bank and gun elevation on steep slopes.

I will post an update here when the fix is in place.
